Presentation Space Lighting Upgrade
A prominent public utility agency recently undertook a project to modernize its public meeting auditorium, aiming to enhance the lighting for public meetings, live broadcasts, and internal events.
The challenge was to implement a lighting system that would integrate with the space’s clean architectural lines, adapt to changing daylight conditions, and support diverse lighting needs—from standard meetings to holiday-themed presentations. Due to infrastructure and aesthetic constraints, bulky fixtures and major ceiling modifications were ruled out.
To address these needs, the agency partnered with Cielux for a consultative lighting solution. After a thorough evaluation, Cielux proposed a system built around the P3X and P5F LED fixtures, offering tunable white light in a compact form factor with high-quality, powerful output.
Cielux also engineered a custom diffusion system to provide soft, even, glare-free light across the council desk and audience seating. The fixtures’ compact profiles preserved the space’s minimalist aesthetic while delivering performance that met both in-room visibility and broadcast-quality standards.
As a creative enhancement, color-enabled P3X units were installed along the rear curtain wall, enabling dynamic, festive background lighting for special occasions, without any permanent infrastructure changes.
With this solution in place, the upgraded auditorium now stands as a refined example of functional design and lighting versatility, capable of supporting evolving needs in public service and community engagement.
